PRIME MINISTER'S APPRECIATION.
The hon. secretary of the Lithgow Pro-
gress Association, Mr. J. Padley, has re-
ceived the following letter from the Hon.
J. Cook, Prime Minister of the Common-
wealth :— "I was glad to get your kind
letter of congratulation. It is always good
to hear from old friends in Lithgow, and
I heartily reciprocate the good wishes ex-
pressed, extending them not only, to your
association but to the old town itself."
The above letter was received in reply to
a letter from the secretary of the Lith-
a resolution of congratulation by the as-
of Lithgow and representative for Hart-
ley in the State Parliament for many

Mr. H. G. Rienits, president of Mount
Victoria Progress Association said when

cal Society and was informed that Sur-
veyor Govett, after whom the Leap at
Blackheath was named, had done a lot of
work around the walls and he fancied a

made to the beautiful panoramic view.
