Quite a number of "Marked trees" in these allotments. What happens when the marks wear off?

An in memoriam from around July 1918 would have to call into question the dating of the page scanned. Unlikely to be Nov 1895.
2017-03-20 20:49 q.m. Cranes working on the construction of the arch trusses of Sydney Harbour Bridge, New South Wales, ca. 1927 (Version)
Here we see one of the creeper cranes which were used to construct the arch and deck of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. As you can see, the construction of the arch has only just commenced...looks like they've just started work on the first panel. Over to the left we see the cables which took the weight of the arch during its construction...they were connected to the top of the end posts.

The construction of the arch commenced at Dawes Point in January 1929...and at Milsons Point in ca. September 1929...so we're looking at somewhere around ...

2017-03-20 20:09 q.m. Man standing on the base structure of the unfinished Sydney Harbour Bridge, New South Wales, ca. 1927 (Version)
Here we see a painter at work on one of the Sydney Harbour Bridge main bearings. In this pic we see one of the end posts and the lower section of the 1st panel...which means that the date is at least January 1929, when the 1st panel at Dawes Point was under construction...

The scaffolding over to the left suggests the pylon mightn't yet be complete...or it could be in the process of being cleaned...which would put the date at January-February-March 1932...

Concannon was at one point Labor's leader in the NSW Legislative Council...he was never NSW Labor leader. He was a member of the Willis-Lang faction.

There will always be a great deal of Subjectivity when examining the wisdom and literature of a Celtic Scribe such as Doctor Francis A. Byrne O.S.B., but his worldly knowledge and experiences gives him a rare platform upon which to draw us a picture of Life within The Church as well as in the Secular Neo-Pagan Society. One or more of his Manuscripts may appeal to you, but I like his work on 'Silence' and 'Joy' - twin brothers and sisters on this Journey through Life........Doctor Anne, Jane McSane from Slane

2017-03-20 16:21 q.m. Cabling attached to a pylon during the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney, ca. 1930 (Version)
Here we see one of the steel saddles which supported the anchor cables...which in turn took the weight of the arch during construction. I suspect this pic might have been taken at Dawes Point in the later part of 1928, when the cables and associated anchorage were being assembled...

At each end of the bridge, the cables were looped thru tunnels in the rock and attached to the top of the end posts at the base of the upper chord...

http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/ar...
