This photo was taken at Sydney Cricket Ground No. 2 on 26 December 1933, the first day of a cricket match between a N.S.W. Colts side and a Qld Colts side. It shows N.S.W. batsman Peter Bierschenk who has just been bowled by Ezra Wyeth for 9, one of 6 wickets taken by Wyeth in the N.S.W. first innings. A young (17 years) Don Tallon is the Qld wicketkeeper with his back to the camera.

A cropped version of this photo was published in the 27 Dec. edition of The Sydney Morning Herald:
<a href='http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/...

2017-07-18 13:12 JPEditor Keith Edward Rigg and Robert Walter Vivian Robins during the England versus Australia 3rd Test Cricket match, 1 January 1937 (Version)
This photo captures an interesting scene at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 1 January 1937, the first day of the 3rd Test between Australia and England during the latter's 1936-37 cricket tour. It was just before the luncheon break with Australia batting. Walter Robins has come on to bowl his first over of the day to Australian Keith Rigg. With his very first ball Robins bowled an exceptional leg break that completely beat Rigg and flew past first slip fieldsman Wally Hammond for two byes.

Here we can see Hammond just missing the bal...
