Born at Nyirrpi in the 1920s, Charles Gallagher is a Warlpiri speaker who paints Emu, Butterfly and Women's Dreamings for his country around Nyirrpi. He lives in Nyirrpi and is married to Pauline Gallagher. Painting since the late '80s. He did two of the paintings on the Nyirrpi school walls in 1989.
