NEW SEASON'S TEAS.

TEA, Says a great medical authority, is

more than a luxury, it is a healthful stimulant, and by its use the consumer prevents the waste of the tissues and assists to lengthen life ; but these happy results can be produced only by pure Sec- of good quality. Adulterated and common teas are worse than useless, because they can yield nothing but nausea, and indigestion, as ladies and delicate persons know only too

well.

It has always been our aim to import none but Pure Teas, and our thorough knowledge of the Tea Trade enables us to guard our constituents from the charge of being purveyors of what is in China be aptly called Lil Tea, which means an article that owes its origin to the inventive genius of the Chinaman, and not to the kind hand of Nature. It is, therefore, with great pleasure we announce the arrival of our Third Ship-

ment of

NEW SEASON'S TEAS.

The shipment consists chiefly of the higher qualities, among which are some extra fine Congous of the Hankow and Foochow districts, and to these Teas we should like to draw the higher attention. They possess a full ripe flavour j the leaf is bright after infusion, and the liquor fresh, fullbodied, and invigorating.

The wisdom of our policy of importing First Ciior Teas, although at the disadvantage of small profits for ourselves, has been most gratifyingly confirmed by our large trade in Queensland, as well as by our enormously increasing business in New South Wales, Victoria, New Zealand, Tasmania, and South Australia, where the trade are fully aware of the many advantages which large buying, combined with the highest skill, is enabled to offer. It is, therefore, to the advantage of every purchaser throughout the colonies to inspect these fine Teas, which are certain to secure benefit for the trade and credit for the importers.

3 The establishment of such an industry will give employment to a number of persons, and caused the circulation of capital, besides adding materially to the importance of the town and the value of its property.

Over 6000- Shares have already been applied for, and the Share List will positively CLOSE on WEDNESDAY, 7th September.

Applications for shares must be made in the form annexed, addressed to the Provisional Secretary or the Brokers of the Company, and accompanied with a cash deposit of One Shilling (Is.) your share, without which, no application will
