STAGHORN FLAT MURDER.

SEARCH FOR THOMAS.

Report From City Hotel.

Senior detective R. V. Brennan is inquiring into a statement made at the detective office yesterday morning by the licensee of a city hotel that a youth who had been his employ for three weeks as a "useful" at the hotel had disappeared suddenly. The licensee added that he was confident that his former employee was Alexander Clarence Thomas, who, al-though under committal for trial for the murder of Miss Bridget Enwright, at Staghorn Flat, near Wodonga, has for some months eluded the Victorian police force. Mr. Rvan identified a photograph of Thomas as that of the youth who had been engaged at tile hotel.
