HARBOUR IMPROVEMENTS.

ULVMISTONE, Juno 1.

At a meeting of the Leven Harbour Trust this afternoon, it was resolved that as soon as the evidence given before the Railway Commission is available, a public meeting be called to place before the ratepayers the possibilities of trade at the Leven port, if a tramway was constructed along the western side of the Leven River to tap Riana.

Dr. McCall stated that it was probable more money would have to be raised to complete the harbour improvements, as there were little prospects of getting the class of hoppers required without building.

New Accommodation House at Great Lake Attention is drawn to the fact that applications are now being called for the lease and conduct of the new tourist accommodation-house at the Great Lake. This house will prove a very great convenience to a. visiting anglers during the next tourist season. The applications are being called by the Northern Tasmanian Tourist Association

on behalf of the Government, and full particulars and copy of conditions are obtainable from the secretary (Mr. L. S. Bruce) at the Tourist Bureau,
