CANBERRA'S EASTER CARNIVAL.

A special meeting of the Canberra Club will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. at 295 Elizabethstreet, to discuss the Easter carnival. A big success is assured for the fixture. Entries from the members of the Lithsow Club are not rolling in as expected. Sydney riders supported their event, why not return the compliment ? Corrections have been made in the programme as follows : —

Easter Saturday. — 33 miles Road Race (handicap), for machines up_ to 550c.c, and a 33mile road race (handicap) over 55Occ, all powers. Easter Monday. — 100 miles open handicap for all powers. The cnttv fea for the 33's is 5/, and for the century event 7/6. Entries close on Friday. A meeting of the Canberras was well attended on Monday night, several new mernberr. being initiated. A most regrettable portion ot the night's meeting was when the chairman read a letter of resignation from the club's energetic secretary, Mr. Le3 Staples, which came as a severe shock to the members present. However, a committee was appointed to endeavor to secure the services of a suitable successor. An adjournment was granted in order to call a special meeting for Monday night next, In order to deal with the matter A good muster is requested, and it is to be hoped thpc Mr. Staples will be induced to continue in office.

'Tis said that Dug Barrett is making a special trip down from the Waybacks to compete at the Easter carnival of the Canberra's. Ever-green Bob McGarr;. who has lo.-.» since proved himself a goou supporter c- t'r.-i sport, has again headed the list of Conors for the Canberra's carnival.
