A terrible railway anocident oconrred yetoerday on the Northern Ratilway in Spain. lAn exprcee train from iean Sebastian to Madrid collided at Burgos with an ordinary train ooming from IMadrid. When the oollialon occurred the oepress wan trivelling at the rate of 46 milve an hour and tho ordinary at 31; milae an hour. The force of the impact wse torriflo, and moat of the carriagee were telescopod. Twenty-four of the passengers wore killed,' among the number being several membero of the Spanish nobility. Twenty passengers were soverely injured. Among the wounded is Mer. John Seymour Lucan, A. R. A., who was travelling from Esoarial, whore he had boon oollecting material for an Acadomy piotore. lies aondition is regarded as serionu, and his wife has been summoned from London. The disaster is attributed to a blander on the part of a telegraph clerkh who has been arrested.
