X-Ray Reveals Secrets

That Egyptian children who lived centuries ago had diseases common among youngsters of today, is one of the interesting facts revealed by X-ray studies of mummies at the Field Museum of' Nut oral History.

Photographs taken with the penetrating rays show cases of curvature of the spine and of malnutrition. The hitler condition is disclosed by transverse lines of irregular calcium development in the lungs and is caused by improper and inadequate feeding. The

X-ray apparatus is used not only on ordinaries but also on various gullies specimens and helps to establish many scientific facts without doing any damage. The Field museum is the first institution of its kind to adopt this method of examining; relics of the past.
