Mrs. F. R. Mactaggarh

MRS. Florence Rosalie Mactaggart,

widow of the late Mr. Daniel

Mactaggart, who, with his brother

John, founded Mactaggarts Primary Producers' Co-operative Association Ltd., died at her home in Brisbane last week.

Mrs. Mactaggart, although a Victorian

by birth, lived for many years in Queensland. She was married at Maryborough in 1892, and not long after came to Brisbane with her husband.

It was about this time that Maryborough was connected by rail with Brisbane, and so lost much of its importance as an outlet of the Burnett district.

The firm of Mactaggarts Bros, was

transferred to Brisbane, and later was formed into a company, and then into the present Mactaggarts Primary Producers'

Co-operative Association Ltd. Mrs. Mactaggart's husband predeceased

her 14 years ago. She is: survived by two sons and four daughters.

Mr. A. E. Jones.

THE death of Mr. Aubrey Edward

Jones occurred recently at the age

of 67 years. Mr. Jones owned Euroka, in the Kilkivan district. He was born at Boonara, and lived most of his life in the Boonara and Kilkivan districts.

His father, the late Mr. G. H. Jones, and uncle, Mr. Llewelyn Jones, owned Kilkivan, in the Kilkivan district. Mr.

A. E. Jones was a member and for-mer chairman of the Kilkivan Shire Council, and a member of the Eidsvold

Shire Council.

He is survived by his widow and three sons.

rpHE death occurred recently of Mrs.

Florence May Provan at the age of 63 years. Mrs. Provan, who was born in Adelaide, had been a resident in the Goondiwindi district for more than 20 years.

Her husband, Mr. George Harvey Provan, managed Boogumbilla for more than 17 years. She is survived by her huBband and four daughters.
