Port Win By 115 Pts.
Although they gave of their best throughout Super Elliott, an Adelaide team, proved vastly inferior to a Port combination, which included many juniors, and were defeated by 115 pts. in a football match at Memorial Oval on Saturday. A tally of 12 goals from D. Leram, a contender for senior rank, was the highlight of the day.
B. Jarmyn (eapt.), a former South Adelaide player, .opened the major account for the visitors in the second quarter, when the home side was nine goals in front. Port exploited speedy play-on style.
Super Elliott, who had their first season this year with North Adelaide Association, made many elementary errors of ? judgment. However, they fought hard to offset Port's balance of
power.
. Accurate passing to the man on the ! move often, made it seem that Port
were merely coasting.'
The scores progressed:
. 1 2 3 4 Pts. Port . .9-4 16-10 19-11 27-15 177 Elliott . 0-4 1-7 5-11 8-14 02
