ANOTHER BALKAN-WAR

THREATENED.

(Australian Press Association).

LONDON, Thursday.

The "'Daily Express" correspondent at Athens says that if the Italians re-main in undisputed possession of Corfu there will undoubtedly be ser-ious trouble ending possibly in an-other Ballcan war.

Serbian newspapers are already de-claring that Serbia will support Greece. Reports from Turkey show that a sec-tion of opinion is already urging Ke-mal Pasha to seize the opportunity to

invade Western Thrace.

The "Daily Telegraph" diplomatic correspondent says "There is a grave phrase in Signor Mussolini's latest de-clarations. He threatens to remain in-definitely in Corfu if Greece does not yield to his every demand. The corres-pondent added "Corfu was for cen- turies a dependency of Venice. When a politician quotes history he is thinking not of the past but of the future."
