Mr. Angus Campbell, of Billabalong station, Mullewa, a member of a pioneer Murchison family, died suddenly of heart failure about midnight on Saturday at the age of 69 years: The funeral, which took place to-day, was the largest held in Mullewa for. many years, the procession of motor cars extending over half a mile.

! Born at Ararat (Victoria) in 1870, the late Mr. Campbell was brought to Western Australia by his parents at the age of 10. The family bought Berringarra station, which was later sold to Messrs. D-arlot Brothers. Mr. Campbell's family, then went to the Gascoyne and opened up Booloogooroo station. From there the late Mr. Angus Campbell went to Brooklands, near Ballirigup, on his own account, and then to Mulyie, near Port Hedland, , for 17 years. He came to Billabalong in 1916 and controlled the station until his death. Billabalong progressed under his management, , and in 1919 produced the highest clip to pass through Geraldton. The late Mr. Campbell was keenly interested in the Murchison, and was a- member of the road board for several years. Graded roads and other works were constructed largely through his efforts. He was a prime mover in the road board conference at Cue, and also the conference of district conimittees,. ^
