Anthony Lagoon Sold

The Scottish Australian Company, Ltd., England, has bought Anthony Lagoon -pastoral station in the Northern Territory. This was disclosed by Mr. J. N. Eggar, chairman and managing director at the annual meeting in London.

One of the best-known stations in the Territory, Anthony's Lagoon covers 1,800 square miles on the Barkly Tableland, about 300 miles north-west of Austral Downs. The deal included 12,000 head of cattle, and the ultimate intention is to establish a stud and herd of Shorthorns. Record profit of £235,071 Is shown by Scottish Australian lor its latest year, from which a 10 p.c. dividend is being paid. This would no doubt have been higher but for the Chancellor's request for limitation of * dividends, Mr. Eggar said.
