A PETERBOROUGH FAREWELL.

At the Peterborough Town Hall on Wednesday, a farewell was tendered tj Dr. Arthur Goode, who is leaving for an extended holiday before settling dom-n again in Queensland. The mayor (Mr E. Hoile) presided. The stage was decorated with pot and cut fijwers and greenery by the ladies' committee. The mayor said Dr. Goode had been in Peterborough for about 15 yean, and previous to that was for 20 years at Terowie. He was liked by all, and had attended to his professional duti-a faithfully. He presented the guest with an inscribed suit case. Musical Items were rendered by Mesdames H. B. Wood, L. J. Bills, F. Eharley, and T. Fitzgerald, Misses Alma Hill, and Joyce Rowe. and Messrs. M. Rilcy, J. Bills, T. Vance, and H. Wlckham. A dance was held afterwardi. Mrs. IT. B Wood's orchestra supplied Hie music,- and supper was provided by Mr*.. R, Summerton, _?_ __ - ._, ? J_^._. I
