THE STRAIGHT TIP.

(to thk editor of the advertiser \

Sir,—"Wen yu kant fite yoer henimee -it o trap for im an ketch im." Those in favor of the change of name for this city should not be caught napping, the advertisement " by order of the committee" notwithstanding. Bendigonians beware! If you want the name Bendigo you will have to roll up in numbers at the poll to-day and strike out Sand-hurst. A ballot is a ballot, and to day will see heavy polling for Sandhurst, and every vote for Bendigo will be wanted. To be held cheap is un-pleasant, to fall into a trap and be laughed at is

worse.
