SHEEP FROM TEE NORTHERN TERRITORY.

SALE AT THE BURRA. Burra, September 6.

At Messrs. Bagot, Shakes, & Lewis, Limited, Burra Market, on Friday last the first flock of sheep through from the Northern Territory were sold. They were brought down by Mr. Harry F. Lewis from Messrs. Lewis Brothers' Newcastle Waters Station, leaving there on April 1 and reaching Oodnadatta on August 30. The road was very dry and the sheep had hard times, but considering that the distance from Newcastle Waters to the Burra is 1,000 miles they looked very well.
