A petition has been presented to the Commissionerof Crown Lands(Hon. L. O'Loughlin) by Messrs. A. Poynton and W. T. Mortlock, the members for Flinders, on behalf of a number of Orowu lessees and occupiers of selections of not less than 1G0 acres in extent. The petitioners are desirou3 of having the whole of the county of Flinders and all tha,t portion of the county of Musgrave now under the control of the District Council of Lincoln proclaimed a vermin district, and of having provision made for the erection of a substantial dog-proof fence between Cape Hardy, on the shore of Spencer's Gulf, and Mount Misery on the west coast. The Commissioner has promised to consider the request. The Government bull, which was intended to be sent to the Meadows, has now had its destination altered to Riverton, where it will be in charge of Mr, G raves tooks foi the season.
