SHIP NEWS.

Mar. 26.— Arrived the transport ship Red Rover, from Portsmouth 18th Nov., with 166 male prisoners, 2 having died on the passage. Surgeon Superintendent Dr. Osborn, R.N. Passengers. — Major Croker, Mrs. Croker, and 2 children ; with 29 rank and file of the 17th Regt.

Mar. 28.— Arrived the brig Fame, John Watson, Comman-

der, from Liverpool 9th Oct., and the Cape 17th Jan, with a general cargo of merchandize. Passengers, — Mr. Adams, Mr. Brown, Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Morgan, and children, Mrs. Staples, John Bowman, Mrs. Bowman and 6 children, John Kelsh and 2 children, Thomas Hamilton, Mrs. McCormack, John Gillain, Eliz. Harrison, and Robert Chalmers.

Vessels remaining in the Harbour.

Ships John, Medway, Red Rover, and Drummore ; barques Clarence and Merope ; brigs Fame, Lion, and Elizabeth ; schooners Tasmanian Lass, Elizabeth Henrietta, Industry, and Resolution.

LAUNCESTON, MARCH 21. Mar. 18. — Arrived the schooner Friendship, ------- Neil, Master, from Circular Head.

Mar. 20.— Arrived the brig Czar, Capt. Russell, from Sydney, with troops, &c.

Mar. 19. — Sailed the brig Hind, Capt. Scott, for Port Louis, with a general cargo, Passengers,— Robt. Campbell Jun. Esq., Mr. Thos. Snellgrove, Mr. McDonald, and Boxo Carrin, servant.
