SHIP NEWS.

JUNE 3.—His Majesty's sloo-of-war SUCCESS, of 28 guns, from Madras, bound for Port Jackson and Swan River ; for which

she sailed on Thursday.

JUNE 4.—Arrived the brig Ann, Captain Samuel Cornby, from Rio de Janeiro 7th March, with 973 rolls of tobacco, 500 hand-spikes, 2 harpoons, 23 cases and 4 pipes wine, 8 casks rum, 32 barrels porter, 21 bundles of chairs, 20 boxes raisins, a quan-tity of salt, and 6 barrels tapioca.—Passengers for this Port, Mr. and Mrs. McGhie and 3 children, and 34 for New South Wales.

JUNE 2.—Sailed for Sydney, the ship Georgiana, Captain Thompson, 666 bags wheat, 15 tons potatoes, and 300 tons sun-dries, on account of his Majesty's Government ; 7 casks onions, 20 tons hay, 252 bags potatoes, and 94 bags wheat, consigned to various persons.—Passengers, Dr. Conway, R. N., Captain Wentworth and Lady, Captain Lethbridge, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Ann Fairley and 2 children, Mr. and Mrs. Curran, and 2 chil-dren, Mrs. Ann Wright, John Hines, wife, and child, 63d Regt. ; and 2 prisoners from the Cape of Good Hope.

JUNE 3.—Sailed for London direct, the brig Margaret, Cap-tain Alexander Craig, with 5 boxes seed, &c. 4 casks hides and skins, 23 tons mimosa bark, and 553 bales wool.—Passen-gers, Dr. Petrie, R. N. and Abraham Aaron.

VESSELS REMAINING IN THE HARBOUR.

The ship St. George ; brigs Ionia, Volusia, and Ann ; barque Clarence ; and Government vessels Cyprus and Prince Leo-pold.

LAUNCESTON, JUNE 1.—Arrived May 24, the schooner, Hen-ry, John Griffiths, master and owner, from Sydney in 14 days, with sundries, and five passengers.—Also, on the same day, the schooner Resolution, from the same port.—Sailed on the 27th, the brig Java Packet, Captain Lambert, for Sydney, with 1300 bushels of wheat, from Mr. Thomas Williams, 41 bales of wool and 5 tons of potatoes, from Messrs. Thomson and Ral-ston ; and 17 bales of hay.—Passengers, Mr. W. Whyte, and
