UNIVERSITY LACROSSE CLUB. A

meet I n g was held at the University yesterday for the purpose of forming a lacrosse club, The fact of there being no athletic club in permanent connexion with the University has long been felt, and the steps now taken to bring about some such unity amongst students were generally appreciated. This feeling was shown unanimously at the meeting, and it was determined, In order to retain that representative characters to allow none but University men to be eligible for election as members. Me. O. Hondo being voted to the chair, the following committee was provisionally elected Messrs. Horne, Joske, Parnell, Hodges, Smith, Reade, Ross, Wilson, and Lyons, with Mr. H. W. tiuilth ob hon. secretary. Practice will be held as soon as possible, due notice of the same to be posted in the quadrangle.
