Business Talk Cost Vic. Man His Life

Crash victim V. C. Anquetil would have been home with his family in Prahran, Melbourne, if he had adhered to his original plans to leave Perth at the week

end.

An executive of Charles Read Ltd., in Melbourne, he had been in Perth a fortnight relieving Mr. T. H. Tuohy, as manager of Charles Moore and Co., in Perth. When he first arrived, and Mr. Tuohy went on holidays, Mr. Anquetil suggested that he leave Perth on Friday night, so that he could be back home for the weekend. However this was not definite, and Mr. Anquetil later told friends at his Perth hotel that he would be leaving at the weekend, probably Sunday. He made a further change of plans when he decided to stay in Perth for Monday so that he could discuss business matters with Mr. Tuohy on his return
