The West Australian record price for greasy wool (125d) was twice broken be fore lunchtime today at the Perth wool sales. From 125½d the peak bid jumped to 128d. Eleven bales of AAA comb ing (greasy) offered by Elder Smith and Co Ltd. for Glen orn brought a 125½d. bid from French buyers Kreglinger and Ferneau. Then the same buyers bid 128d. for five bales of AAA combing sold by Dalgetys on behalf of J. Warren of Ban jawarn, an Eastern Goldfields station about 80 miles north east of Leonora. The reception of the Banja warn offering was indicative fof the record market. On the same catalogue Ban jawarn got 118½d. and 116d. for AAA hoggets, 112d. 114½d. 110½d, 109½d, for AA combing, 107½d. for AA, 103 1-4d. for AA hoggets, and 94d. for A combing, and less for "lower quality lines."
