Wool sold at the record WA price of Old at the tenth and last sale of the 1947-48 wool season in Perth today. That price was paid for 19 bales of AAA combings sold for A. A. Warren, Banjawarn Station, Lake Darlot, by Elder Smith and Co.

JUIU. Next highest price was 90d for eight bales of AAA combings sold on account of Melrose Station Ltd., Leonora by Elders. Banjawarn also took 84d for nine bales of AAA combings, 82½d for 18 bales of AA combings and 81½d for seven other bales of AA Wool from several stations brought more than the previous record of 80d. Erlistoun Pastoral Co., Kalgoorlie, sold nine bales of AAA for 88d, another nine for 87½d and 13 bales of AA for 82¾d.

Hamilton and Harper, Windimurra Station, Mt. Magnet, sold six bales of AAA for 84¾d and eight bales of AA for 82¾d. Offering was mainly of early pastoral wools and oddments. Bidding was brisk. . Record WA price of 80d was paid in February. March prices showed a slight decline. Australian record of 120d a lb. was secured at Brisbane sales in May.
