FREMANTLE ESPLANADE

BANDSTAND OPENED

This afternoon the new band stand that has been erected on the Fremantle Oval was officially declared open to the public. The stand has been put up in connection with the various imrovements which the council is carry-

ing out on the Esplanade. Cr. Llewellyn, in the absence of the Mayor, presided at the function, and he, in a few words, declared the stand open for the use of the public. The Trades' Hall Band was in attendance. After the formal ceremony on the Es-planade an adjournment was made to the Town Hall.
