Vic. Baseball Team Chosen

MELBOURNE. Monday.

The baseball team to represent Victoria at the interstate baseball carnival in Melbourne from July 29 to August 5, is: — Pitchers. W. Flavell (St. Kilda) and J. Higgins (Collingwood); catchers, E. Lynott (St. Kilda) and E. Davies (Collingwood) ; first base, C. Kerville

(Carlton): second bare, W. Locklier, vice-captain (Richmond); third base, J. McInnes (St. Kilda); short stop, R. Corby (Footscray); left field, J. Dennison (Carlton); centre field, C. Miller (Melbourne); right field, J. Plant, captain and coach (Fitzroy), utility, G. Tamblyn (Prahran). The omission of S. Quin (Melbourne) is rather unexpected but otherwise there were no surprises in the selections.
