BRADMAN CRITICISES ENGLISH JOURNALIST

SYDNE5T: 'I am disgusted to tMnk that any journalist would make such a ridiculous comment wMcb is so misleading: to the public and nmfahr to the players.' So said Australian Test captain Don Bradman denying: that there had been any discourtesy by Australian players towards Sid Barnes when he broke his bat daring: Monday's play. Said Bradznan: 'The answer is that Dooland (12th man) and other players in the pavilion, immediately they saw Sid signal for another bat, began searching for a spare bat which they thought Sid had in the pavilion. One of the purchases is a bay filly by Caithness from The Shrine, which realised 425 guineas. The other is a chestnut colt by John James from JLalula, bought for 1500 guineas. F. Mentha. of Perth, secured a bay filly by Macedon from Vocal Queen for 325 guineas. MULLEY TO RE FOREMAN CYDNEY: Suspended jockey A. Mulley, who won renown as the. rider of Bernborough, is to be stable foreman to Sydney owner-trainer Michael Dann. Mulley, who had his licence withdrawn without explanation by the A .J.C. committee on December 21 has been riding work since then. He often rode for Dann before his suspension. COACH FOR KALGOORLIE ITALGOORIJE: Victorian football star Jack Regan has been appointed coach of the Kalgoorlie City Football Club.
