News of the appointment as SubLieutenant of Naval-Cadet Arch McArthur has been received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. McArthur, of Millicent.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Werchon, of North Adelaide, formérly of Millicent, have been notified ttyat their son, Private Max Werchon, has been wounded in action in thè Middle East. Private . Werchon ellsted from Millicent with tho, first Forestry Unit, and left Australia in 1940.

A large gathering extended a welcome home to Private R. Manhood, of Millicent, in the St. Clair School on October 24. Private Manhood, who saw service in the Middle East, was wounded in the arm in July.
