MOURNING IN ATHENS.

LONDON, September 3.

The Athens correspondent of the London 'Daily Express' reports that on Monday a solemn memorial service was held in the cathedral for 12 persons who were killed in the Corfu bombardment. The bells of all of the churches

were tolled continuously, and incense was burned in many houses as a sign of mourning. Crowds paraded the streets after the service, crying, ''Down with Italy,' but the police dispersed them. Tho' Italian Minister announces that the expense of the Corfu occupation is one million lire daily, which Greece must pay. A seini-official statement attributes the Janinn assassinations to Daout Hodsa, an Albanian bandit, who is said to have been seen in the district shortly before the murders.
