Between Dalhousie and Macumba stations a plain about 40 miles long and proportionately broad is under water, Mr. J. Harvey, who manages Mrs. Williams's station of Nydrie, had a very unpleasant experience. He was compelled" by the rushing floods to seek safety in a tree, where he remained for two days and two nights before he was rescued.
