HAYDN BUNTON'S WIFE SEEKS DIVORCE

Haydn William Bunton, one of the most polished players of the Australian Rules game of all time, is being sued by his wife, Mrs. Lylia Frances Bunton, for divorce on the grounds of his mis« conduct with an AWAS. Papers have been taken out by her lawyer, Mr. John Dunphy (of Messrs Dwver. Durack and Dunphy), and the case will probably be heard in next

month's list, which promises to be unusually 'spectacular' even for recent years. Allegations made against Bunton in the citation are that on July 9th this year he committed misconduct with Doreen May Scott, an AWAS, at Adelaide Oval, South Australia. He has been served with the necessary papers in the South Australian capital. Haydn Bunton first came to Perth in 1938 as captain-coach of Subiaco, was also appointed manager of a local cinema. Later he was associated with both the motor trade and insurance. He left Perth some 3 months ago and whs cleared by Subiaco in order to play for Port Adelaide, for whom he is now a leading footballer. He is in his early thirties. He first came into prominence in Victoria where for some years he dominated the League competition, was 3 times winner1 of the coveted Brownlow Medal, the highest honor Victoria can bestow on a player. & TT ? . _ ? ; ? ? -_. e _ . ci _ . 1 * — ? £-.»*
