OBITUARY

Mr. Daniel Murray Cudmore, who died recently at the age of 39 years, was a son of the late Roland Cudmore and a greatgrandson of Daniel Cudmore, who settled in Adelaide in 1837. Mr. Cudmore was edu-cated at St. Peter's College.

He was keenly interested in aviation and held an 'A' class pilot's licence. Rejected for the RAAF and AIF in 1939, he assisted In the formation of the VDC for his district and became lieutenant. In 1943 he purchased the historic property Kingsford, near Gawler. SA, where he carried on the occupa-tion of farmer and grazier until his death. Mr. Cudmore was hon. secretary of the Gawler branch of me Liberal and Country League. A widow and a son and two daughters sur-vive.
