CROCKERiY AND IRON SH?AKEN. In the forenoon of Christmas Day (writes our Clear Lake correspondent) many of the local residents had a sudden shock by hearing two distinct reports which shook the crockery and glavanised iron on the buildings. Scveral saw a moving object travelling in a southerly direction, leaving in its trail a volume of smoke. Shortly after, reports were heard and smoke rose heavehward.. One unconfirmed report states that the strange visitor fell in the Barton Lake near .Toolondo and knocked a holeull the bottom aud allowed all the water to run out.
