CHRISTMAS IN HORSHAM.. On Wednesday morning, the festive season in Horsham opened unauspiciously for holiday weather,'a lighttrain falling, and this no' doubt kept back many of the outside dwellers from making an early call in the town to do their final Christmas shopping. But as the day proceeded the rain lifted and there was a very strong procession of motor cars and vehicles of all doscriptions into town. The business people had added a touch of evergreen to the verandah posts, and this gave Firebrace and Wilson-streets an appropriate setting. Business. was reported as steady, but not strong, during the-dlay, the weather conditions holding people back, but with the improvement in the evening the streets were thronged and remained so to a late hour, and much of the lee-wnya was Biade up. Oh Christmas Day services wcrc held in the Church of England, Presbyterian Church. and the Roman Catholic Church. A large number of people, spent the holidays camping out, Christmas Day and Boxing Day being ideal for the purpose, hut Saturday's steady rain marred the final pleasure.
