SOCIAL On April l0th a very large number of persons assembled at "Pleasant View," Koraheim, the residence of Mr. Carl Krieg, to witness the marriage of his eldest daughter, Ottilie Emma (Tela) to Mr. W. H. Paschke, of Wail. The bride was attired in an exquisite gown of cream silk, beautifully draped with chiffon and orange blossoms, and wore a pretty diamond ring and bracelet, the gift of the bridegroom. She car-ried a handsome shower bouquet, and a lovely wreath and veil completed the bridal toilet. The bridesmaids were Miss Olga Krieg (sister of bride), who looked very graceful in a simple dress of white China silk, and Miss Paschke (sister of the bridegroom), Misses Gertio Sallman and Rosie Harders (nieces of bridegroom) All wore rich dresses of cream lustre, with chiffon and lace trimmings. The groomsmen were Messrs. G. Paschke, P. Noske, H. Dahlenburg and A. Krieg. The large dining room in which the wedding i ceremony was performed was artisti-cally decorated with pot plants, flowers and grasses, and when the bride, lean-ing on the arm of her father, and attended by her maids, put in an appearance, the room presented quite a pleasing aspect. The Rev. Mr. Mackie, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Holmes, performed the ceremony, after which the newly married couple and the guests adjourned to an adjoin-ing building, specially erected for the purpose, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of. Several suitable toasts were honored and the best wishes were expressed for the future happiness of the bride and bridegroom. During the afternoon several outdoor games were indulged in, but when night came dancing commenced, and was kept up till morning with occasional intervals for refreshments. In the early morning the newly mar-ried couple left for their home at Wail. The bride's travelling (costume was a pale brown coat and shirt with a cream silk front and hat to match. The Misses Rosie Feery, Allie, Ada and Lottie Krieg delighted the guests by dancing a "Fairy Dance" in cos-tume, so much so, that it had to be repeated three times. Mr. Reynolds acted as M.C., and music was supplied by Miss Feery and Messrs. Noske and as Paschke (piano) and Messrs. Harry Dahlenburg and G. Barmby (violin). Before breaking up the company thanked Mr. and Mrs. Krieg for the kind way in which they were enter-tained. At the Church of England, Condah, on Tuesday, Mr. S. Hardy, son of Mr. W Hardy, of Condah, was married to Miss Mary Edith Cross, of Wallace dale, On Tuesday, at Warrabkook, Mr. R. J. Ford, of Hawkesdale, was mar-ried to Miss Reed, daughter of Mrs. Reed, of Muddy Creek and Warrab-kook. At Christchurch, Hamilton, on Tuesday, Canon Hayman officiating, Mr. W. S. Laurence, of the National Bank, Gisborne, was married to Miss Emma Rippon, the church, beauti fully decorated, being crowded. The marriage of Mr.J. A. Larkan, of Stawell, second son of Mr. Seymour Larkan, of Stawell West, with Miss Weldon, of Echuca, is ar-ranged to take place on the 22nd inst.
