A FIRE AVERTED. A threatened fire was averted last night at the residence of Mr. Felix Carra in Darlot-street. Some of the children were playing in a back room when they set fire to a celluloid col lar. Mr. Rudd, who lives next door, rushed to the fire station to give the alarm, but before the intention was actually executed it was learned by Captain France, who was speedily on the spot, that no damage had been done.
