OBITUARY. DEATHS OF OLD RESIDENTS. Mrs. Lavery, senr., of Minimay, died last week at an advanced age. On Sunday Mrs. T. Lear, senr., an old resident of Gym bowen, passed away. Both ladies had been shipmates to Australia, wires our Goroke correspondent. The attack of typhoid fever from which Mr. Gordon Carmichael suffered had a fatal termination in the Horsham Hospital on Friday. Deceased, prior to undergoing tteatment in the institution, was ill for 10 days, and was a son of Mr. Carmichael, of Lower Norton. It was it first thought deceased was suffering from influenza. He was 25 years of age, and a general favorite with all who knew him. The funeral to the Horsham cemetery on Sunday last was largely attended, and the service at the grave was read by the Rev. R. M'Colley, assisted by Pastor Lihe. The mortuary arrangements were carried out by Mr. A F. Weight. The death is announced In London, at the age of 39, of Mr. Phil May, the well-known caricaturist, who spent some years of his earlier life in Australia. The death is reported of Mrs. Rittmann, at the age of 71 years. Deceased spent most of her life at Penola, and her remains were interred in the Apsley Cemetery. Mr. P. Kelly, who died in the Narra. coorte Hospital a few days ago. was one of the oldest residents of Robe. He was 83 years of age.
