Christmas ve in Horshaam The streets of :Horsham on Christmas eve presented a very animated appearance, the crowded state of the footpaths and road giving the 'town a city appearance., The night was a perfect one, and shop-keepers and assistants were kept busy till a late hour. The abundant decoration and adornment at the front of every progressive business place, gave an artistic, finish to the gaily dressed' windows of the shops. As usual, numerous small children, armed with trumpets and other instruments, sounded various "musical" noises, but after a short reign their place was taken by a number of sweet-voiced carol singers, whose rendering of well-knouin festive hymns greatly moved and brought home to all who were privileged to be within hearing, the great cause for which the incoming day was honored.
