FINAL LOWAN FIGURES Mr. Mibus Elected with 460 Majority All the votes have been counted in the Lowan by-election and Mr. Arm- strong's preferences distributed, with the result that the seat has been won by Mr. W. J. Mibus by a majority of 460. Voting on the first count was :— Armstrong, W. P. (Unendorsed C.P.) .. .. .. .. 1785 Mibus, W. J. (U.C.P.) .. .. 4000 Tripovich, J. M. (Lab.) .. 4201 Mr. Armstrong's second preferences were then counted, of which Mibus re-ceived 1223 votes and Tripovich 562, making the final count : Mibus, W. J. .. .. .. .. .. 5223, Tripovich, J. M. .. .. .. .. 4763, Majority for Mibus .. .. 460 The declaration of the poll took place at the Shire Hall, Nhill, yesterday.
