The Rev. G. D'Arcy-Irvine

" Of this gentleman the " Cumberland Argus," one of the best of colonial weekly papers, says :-.' The reason why many parsons do not win the regard of the general community amongst whom they labour is that they are clergymen first and men afterwards. The Rev. D'Arcy Irvine is emphatically a man first and a clergyman afterwards, as thoroughly genuine in the former as thoroughly unassuming in the latter capacity ; hence, we reckon, the way he has ot winning affection from all sorts and conditions of men. We really envy the Hawkesbury folks their

win.

The Rev. Mr.D'Arcy Irvine has made the following arrangements for the conduct of affairs in his parish :-Mondays, devotional meetings, C.E. Schoolroom, 8 p.m. ; Tuesdays, cottage meetings, Newtown, 8 p.m. ; Wednesdays, girl's and women's bible class, Parsonage ; Fridays, Choir practice, Church, 7-45 p.m., (choristers are invited to join the choir). It is intended to hold regular meetings at Clarendon and such other centres as require such attention.
