Lecture by Rev. W. I. Carr Smith.

REV W I Carr-Smith, vicar of St James', Sydney, paid a visit to Windsor on Monday evening, and delivered one of his popular lectures, entitled " Egypt, Palestine, Russia, and Constantinople." The lecture was much appreciated by a fair au-dience of about 150 people, and but for several counter attractions, the rev gentleman would have had a crowded house. Those who attended were delighted and instructed.

Major and Mrs Glover, of the Salvation Army, visited Windsor on Tuesday last, and were entertained by the local branch at a coffee supper in the Barracks, prior to their departure from the colonies, through which they are at present touring on their farewell trip.

At the local Police Court on Wednesday last, before Mr J J Fitzpatrick, a female (a stranger) pleaded guilty to a oharge of drunkenness and obscene language ia George-street on the previous night. On the first charge she was fined 5/- or 24 hours, and on the second £1 in default 1 month in

Windsor Gaol.

The procession on Sunday (Hospital Sunday) will start from the Oddfellows' Hall (not from the Park as was first intended) at 1 30 p m Headed by the 3rd Regiment Band, it will go along Macquariestreet, into George-street via Bridge street, thence along George-street to the Park.
