The death has occurred of Mr. John William Bowman, of The Ridge, Rose-dale. He was born at Crystal Brook Station, South Australia, 72 years ago, and was educated at St. Peter's College, Adelaide. When aged 20 years he settled at The Ridge, and he resided there until his death. He married Margaret, daughter of Dr. Edward Simmonds, of Brooklands, Rosedale, Mrs. Bowman died nearly four years ago. There is a family of four sons and three daughters. Mr. Bowman was a member of a well known pastoral family. His brothers include Messrs A. E. Bowman (Be-thanga Park), A. P. Bowman (Camp bell Park, S.A.), K. D. Bowman (Poltalloch Station, S.A.), W. C. Bow-man (Orange, N.S.W.), and the late F. W. Bowman (Cheshunt Station, Tasmania).
