TENNIS TITLE

LONDON, Sunday. - Australian, Peter Cawthorn, won the men's singles final in the Sutton Coldfield Hardcourts tournament at Birmingham yesterday, beating Ignacy Tloczynski, former Polish Davis Cup player, 6-2, 7-3,

6-3.

Tloczynski made a splendid recovery when down 1-4 in thc second set. He made Cawthorn expend energy In running about the court and made excellent use of his service to level the match at one set

It was the Pole who tired In the end and Cawthorn twice broke through his service In the final set to win comfortably.

Tloczynski and Pe Hare beat Cawthorn and Tregonning 6-8, 12-10, 6-3, in the doubles seml-fmal.

Tregonning and Miss R. Woodgate defeated Cawthorn and Miss M. Emerson In the mixed doubles final, 6-0, 6-4.
