Additional reports which are coming to hand as communications are brought nearer to normal reveal that tremendous havoc was caused in the Palosecp oil-fields as a result of thc hurricane and rainstorm that swept thc territory on Tuesday and carly on Wednesday.

At least eleven doatlis liavo occurred, and thousands aro homeless in scores of villages. Throe hundred hottses 'wore destroyed in Erin alono.

A message from Pnloscco stated that fiO derricks belonging to tho Trinidad Petroleum Company had fallen and had been destroyed. Oil was flowing over tho countryside from 20 wells and storago tanks. Tho main delivery line, running cloven miles through tho forest to tho United British refinery had been, broken by fallon trees, and tho cutiro contents had been lost.
