BATHING AT WIRE POOL --------

CUE'S POPULAR RESORT -------

The heavy thunderstorm which occurr-ed on New Year's night at Cue and Cud-dingwarra district caused a flood of wa-ter to flow through Wire Pool, and thence to Lake Austin, via Austin Downs Station. The creek which con-

tains some deep pools is now popular for mixed bathing and Wire Pool is as im-portant to Cueites as Cottesloe is to perthites. Parties after having enjoy-ed a plunge may be heard singing songs and roundelays in opposition to the cheerful croaking frogs that hail the breaking of a long drought.
