MEEKATHARRA ISOLATED.

PROVISIONS RUNNING SHORT. Meekatharra, March 16

The mail from Marble Bar arrived here yesterday, being a week overdue. The Mount Clere mail is hung up at Yarraweelah. being overdue eight days. The Landor mail is not expected to get in for some days yet. The weather is sultry and threatening more rain. Fifty points fell at Holdens on the Murchison River. Supplies of several

lines of provisions are running short here. We have no potatoes or onions. A special mail left here to-day for Marble Bar, the correspondents utilising this route to connect with the aerial service ex Port Hedland. Further thunderstorms are reported on the Gas-coyne and Murchison watersheds. We have no news from Metropolitan centres and our isolation is nearly complete.
