Heavy Rain on die Marduson

MAIL AND TRAIN SERVICE DELAYED.

(From our own Correspondent.) Cue, March 5. The Milly Milly mail had a very heavy trip, being a day late in arriving at Cue. The roads were in a very bad state, the car being bogged repeatedly. At Hannah Moore Station the mail car was joined by the Beringarra station car, containing Mr. Botterill, general manager for the company, and the manager, Mr. Woods. At Cudding warra Creek both cars had to be pushed across the creek by the men waist deep in the water. At seven o'clock on Wednesday evening rain commenced to fall from very heavy thunder-clouds over Webb's Patch Station, three miles east of Cue, and continued for several hours, causing the water tables to overflow in Cue and Day Dawn. The Perth train, which leaves, Meekatharra at 10 p.m., was put back until 8 a.m. to-day. Washaways between Cue and Day Dawn and at other places along the line are reported. The extent of the damage is not yet certain. The walls

of several buildings in Cue and Day Dawn collapsed on account of the flood water. Meekatharra registered 50 points Mt. Magnet 187, Day Dawn 156, Coodardy 30, Cue 259, Nallan 148, Tuckan arra 36 aad Webb's Patch 104.
