INSOLVENT COURT.

Monday, 29th March.

(Before the Chief Commissioner.)

IN RE HENRY HICKMAN.

A first and only meeting. Official assignee,

Mr Jacomb.

No creditors were present, and the assignee said he did not expect any, as the only asset was a razor.

The insolvent stated that nineteen months ago he opened a hairdresser's shop at Bal-larat, with stock worth 40l. He made at first from 15l. to 20l. a week, but of this he paid 3l. a week rent, and 3l. 10s. a week and board to an assistant. Latterly he did not make more than 6l. a week. Since his

insolvency he had been working at Sand-ridge as a journeyman hairdresser, for 2l. 10s

a week.

His Honor said that as the insolvent's debts amounted to only a small sum, he thought he might pay off his creditors in a twelvemonth, but at any rate he must fur-nish to the assignee an account of his receipts and expenditure.

The meeting then closed.
