HOBART TOWN.

SHIP NEWS. — On Sunday last arrived from Sydney, via Port Dalrymple, which lat- ter place she had left 14 days, His Majesty's colonial brig Prince Leopold, Mr. Chase, Commander. — Passengers, Mr.

and Mrs. John Terry, with 3 sons, 8 daughters, and 2 servants, comprising 15 in family ; Mr. George Brown, late master of the Lady Nelson ; and several persons who went thither as evidences on various criminal prosecutions.

Same day arrived from Port Jackson, the brig Jupiter, Captain Risk.

On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, the brig John Shore, Mr. J. T. Williams, late

master of the Frederick which was lost on her passage from this port to India. — Su-percargo, Mr. Joseph Clarke. She brings a general cargo of merchandize, consisting chiefly of tea, sugar, and spirits. During the passage, eight lascars, who composed part of the crew, died from fatigue.

The Admiral Cockburn, it is expected, will sail in the course of the ensuing week for Port Jackson, and from thence to En-gland direct in January or February.

Remain in the Harbour, His Majesty's brig Prince Leopold ; the ships Admiral Cockburn and Regalia ; and the brigs John Shore, Jupiter, and Sophia.
